A Blast from the Past

I love watching shows from my childhood. So far I've bought the 5 seasons of "The Brady Bunch", 3 seasons of "Gilligan's Island" and 4 seasons of "Family Ties" (my favorite one). A few months ago, I thought I'd introduce my girls to the family sit-com from the 90's "Full House". They LOVE it. Every day after school the first thing Rebecca asks me is "Can we watch Full House?" We now own 5 seasons, with 6, 7 and 8 left calling out to us on the shelf at Future Shop. The girls earned season 5 by doing chores around the house. I finally found something to motivate them to help! If anyone has watched Full House they'd remember Uncle Jesse and how he used to always say "Have Mercy" before kissing his girlfriend. Holly will now look at me with a very serious expression on her face and say, "Mercy". Then give me a kiss. Too funny! Even though these shows are cheesy and outdated, I love the fact that they're lighthearted, fun and clean. Unlike alot of shows you find on TV these days.

  1. It's so funny how obsessed your girls are with Full House :) We love watching The Muppet Show with Ben and Janae--I think it's great that we can get all the old TV shows on DVD!

  2. I'll have to tape some episodes for my girls. Who can resist Bob Saget, right?!
